Taught by Professor Alexandre Ritter with monitoring by Lucas Rocha, the course is biannual and will feature face-to-face and online classes, both of which are individual. Below is information regarding levels and prerequisites:
Levels and Prerequisites
Acoustic Bass for beginners (individual lesson)
- no need to know how to read sheet music
- own instrument and bow
- be at least 14 years old
- be able to bring your own instrument to every class
- take the instrument and the bow to the interview, to be evaluated by the teacher
Acoustic Bass – intermediate level (individual lesson)
- know how to read sheet music
- own instrument and bow
- be at least 14 years old
- be able to bring your own instrument to every class
- two contrasting pieces (one fast and one slow) of free choice
- take the instrument and the bow to the interview, to be evaluated by the teacher
Acoustic Bass – advanced level (individual class in person or online)
- for online classes, have access to a computer and an adequate internet connection

The three items below must be performed in the video:
- ONE (1) movement of the 6 Suites for solo violoncello by J. S. Bach. The execution must be in memory.
- First movement of ONE (1) of the concertos below, without piano accompaniment:
