On Saturday April 8th, from 1:00-3:00 at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center (322 Wyoming Ave), Bass Club Cincinnati is proud to present Thomas Martin, our fourth and final Spring artist. This internationally celebrated bass virtuoso is famous for his recordings of Bottesini, he’s an innovative bass luthier – over 160 basses in the past 40 years, an educator of young bassists for over 60 years, and author of books on historic English and Italian basses. Tom is currently living in London, England. However, we can claim Tom as our own because he is a Cincinnati native!
Tom will be performing solo pieces by Simandl, Bloch and Bottesini accompanied by Columbus pianist Dasom Kwon. He will also be available for Q and A from our members, and he will coach talented bassists from CCM and Ohio State University! Please don’t miss this incredible opportunity to meet, hear and experience one of the legends of our instrument. You don’t have to bring your bass for this event. Refreshments will be available, and Debbie Taylor will serve as our host for this final Spring event
